Game Update: Bryomera (Alchemy Boss Encounter)
We're excited to release something entirely new to the game, hoping that you'll enjoy this type of content as much as combat encounters. Bryomera is different in that this fight is without swords and spells, but rather with your secateurs and wits. Got what it takes? (Can't wait to see you all struggle as much as @The Modfather did)
Bryomera (req: 65 Alchemy)
Deep in the woods, just before the summer breeze turns into cold wind from Wintermist, you'll find a massive crater, as if struck at the exact hour by one of the Meteorites. This one is different, though, and if you have what it takes to at least brew a potion or two without going nuclear, you'll be finding yourself descending down the rope, not heeding Brewix' warning, because you're stronk.
Bring your secateurs. That's it, just your secateurs. If you have 'em, bring your brain, but this is optional.
Those who learn how to defeat Bryomera will find themselves showered in valuables, with 3 new unique items ready to be obtained by the lucky ones. One of them, Bryomera's Secateurs, will let you cut your toenails like never before.
Party Mode
For Bryomera, we wanted to allow you to team up with friends and grind away in private. While every world has its public instance, which is open for everyone, you'll also be able to get your very own private room in exchange for Bloodied Petals. These are tradeable, so you can skip the line and go private right away (or well, once supply goes 'round...)
In Party-Mode, chosen at the instance creation screen, nothing changes except for the fact that your party friends can enter your created instance, fighting alongside you. You'll be able to specify the difficulty of Bryomera too, changing his level from as low as lv. 100 all the way to the insane, probably impossible, lv. 2000.
The rewards scale with his level, but difficulty does too; don't get too confident in advance, trust. :KEKW:
A WHOLE NEW WOOOOOOORLD!
We've worked ridiculously hard on juicing up the look and feel of the game world, and in particular the game's spawn area. That's the place we frequent the most, and where many of you have spent countless hours yelling what you're selling, and all that.
We understand change is difficult, especially if you're on the spectrum (as we are), but we believe sometimes change has to be made. We're going to make a few more larger batches of these, and we hope you like the reworked spawn as much as we do.
(I've tried to keep much of the distances/layout/path lengths the same to respect time taken to level up, but my apologies if I couldn't always stick to this; not always possible..)
Stinktrees & Stinkwood
Smelly Goblins! These green pests keep chewing at the trees and leave their stinky imprints all over the bark. But for what it's worth, those trees can now be cut at level 75 Woodcutting and will get you a bunch of, well, Stinkwood. What's Stinkwood for, you ask?
Stinkwood -> Experience Relics (non-combat)
These Stinkwood logs can be carved into a new type of relic: Non-Combat Skill Experience relics. They're, well, the non-combat version of the combat-version. Gets you a nice XP boost when used during any non-combat Skill you're training.
Wish upon an Alchemist...
You can now use your daily wishes on the Alchemy skill, as we believe the race to the top spots is pretty much complete.
Cosmetics
A rather big batch of cool cosmetics is set to launch within the next few hours. I'll send out another Discord announcement once it does.
Have fun, @everyone -- there's probably more but it's 4:37am and I'm hearing voices :^ )
